Although Spain is my second home country (where my mom comes from) I haven’t had the opportunity to travel much through Spain as my priority is visiting my family when I am there. But I really hope to make a "Spain tour" for several weeks in the future and discover my beautiful country.
Madrid is the capital of Spain and it’s located in the center of the country. You can stay 2-3 days in Madrid to visit the famous sights, like Plaza Colón, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, Puerta del Sol, Museo del Prado, Puerta de Alcalá, Parque de Retiro, and Plaza de Cibeles. You can visit all these sights by walking if you stay at a hostel or hotel in the city center. You should also go out at night because Madrid’s nightlife is one of the best in Europe. If you want to do some shopping you can walk around Gran Vía.
San Sebastián is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. It’s located in the North of Spain near the French border. It’s famous for its beautiful beaches and the nice summer atmosphere. Each year the week around the 15th of August is a festivity week called “semana grande”. For this festivity week, the city organizes activities on the streets, dance shows at night, and fireworks on the beach.
