Colombia - good vibes and music

Some impressions of Colombia when I visited in 2017

I went to Colombia in 2017 with 2 friends for a week. Mainly, we wanted to go to the beach, but we also visited the capital. I really liked Colombia and will be back one day.

We only stayed one day in Bogotá. We were able to visit the city center and eat delicious Arepas. We also went to Montserrat (the mountain from which you can see the whole city). There is a lot of street art in Bogotá - I totally loved it!

We took a flight from Bogotá to Cartagena on the Caribbean coast. In Cartagena, you can visit the city center, which is very beautiful. Cartagena has a lot of nice colonial buildings. You can also go to the beach. In addition, there are tours offered, which are a little expensive, but they are totally worth it. We went to Islas del Rosario and spent the entire day there.

On another day we took a bus to Santa Marta from Cartagena (3-4 hours). We spent the day there on the beach and walking around. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t good. I have to say that I prefer Cartagena to Santa Marta, but I think this depends a lot on the person and also on the weather :D We missed Parque Tayrona, which is very beautiful. So if you are in this area you should visit Parque Tayrona.
