This is one of the most classical and important pieces of French literature of the 20th century. The novel questions the existence of humankind by telling a story of a man in Algeria who is indifferent to everything that happens to him.

This is one of the best literature pieces of the 20th century. The book talks about a world where everything is monitored and surveilled by the state. There is no free thinking and no free decisions by the citizens. Even the truth and the past are constantly changed by the government. The protagonist of the story in 1984 shares his thoughts on these events. He eventually starts getting into trouble…


Anne Frank: Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank (Anne Frank's diary)

This is such an important book to read. Anne Frank was a Jewish girl living in Nazi Germany who had to flee to the Netherlands with her family in order to survive. The family stayed hidden for more than two years. During this time Anne Frank wrote a diary of daily things that happened, describing the situation of hiding and hunger, love stories, and her relationship with her parents. Unfortunately, shortly before the 2nd WW ended, the Franks were discovered and deported to the concentration camps. Only Anne Frank's father survived. He published her diaries.
